University College London (UCL)
University College London is the oldest and largest college of the University of London and is known as ‘London’s Global University. Founded in 1826 in central London, UCL is a leading London university with a wide range of disciplines, with more than 13,000 employees and 42,000 students from 150 different countries. UCL is the second-largest university in the United Kingdom with complete and largest enrollment for graduate students.
UCL has a number of notable alumni, including affected “Fathers of the Nation” from India, Kenya, and Mauritius, founders of Ghana, modern Japan, and Nigeria, the founder of the phone, and one of the co-founders of DNA structure. . UCL scholars have discovered five distinct gases, discovered hormones, developed a vacuum tube, and made several advances in modern mathematics. Since 2020, 34 Nobel Prize winners and three Fields award recipients have been linked to UCL as alumni, intellectuals, or researchers.
University College London is currently developing the concept of international citizenship education in an effort to ensure that students are given the freedom and encouragement to explore ideas from different cultural perspectives while working on important international projects.

UCL Scholarships
There are a number of scholarships available for postgraduate students including our UCL Masters Bursary for UK students and our UCL Global Masters Scholarship for international students. You can use the bursary holder to look for prizes you may deserve. Your education department will also be able to provide you with more information about funding.
UCL Global Masters Scholarships
The UCL Global Masters Scholarship aims to empower and motivate international students from low-income backgrounds to pursue a Master’s degree full-time course at UCL. Scholarships are offered on the basis of financial needs.
Before applying for a grant, study the eligibility process carefully to make sure you are eligible. You can find detailed eligibility information on the application form. If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you will not be considered for funding.

Here is the value, duration and benefits of the scholarship…
- The amount of the bursary is £ 15,000.
- The bursary can only be held for one year.
- The UCL Global Masters Scholarship may be held in conjunction with other courses, students, awards, or scholarships. The value of the UCL prize can be adjusted depending on the total amount of other student earnings.
- Bursary recipients are obliged to notify the UCL Student Support Office immediately of any additional funding provided to their UCL Masters degree, before or after the UCL Global Masters Scholarship.
- The bursary will first be applied to the recipient’s tuition fee, and any balance paid to the recipient in three equal installments, during the academic year, for maintenance.
- There are up to 70 (seventy) scholarships available in 2022/23.
Closing Date for UCL Global Masters Scholarship 2022-23
The deadline to apply for this bursary will be 5 pm BST, on Thursday 12 May 2022. You must submit your application before the deadline. If your application arrives after the published deadlines then it will not be considered.

You need to submit an application for admission to UCL to apply for a bursary. You may also be required to submit further documentation such as a reference letter or a piece of work.

Importance of Scholarships
There are many reasons why a student should apply for financial aid or receive a grant for his/her education. Scholarships give more people the opportunity to get an education. Without the help of an external source, students may have difficulty paying for the qualifications they need to enter the workforce and become contributing members of the community. Bursaries are so good that there is no need to work from time to time to make extra money. To make more money, a person who can work overtime will be paid twice the normal amount.
This also reinforces the work done in the study which makes them more focused on the environment than on wasting time by distorting the mind. Without scholarships or relationships, it can be difficult for students to do research.
Scholarships encourage students to dream big and wild. Studying abroad gives students the opportunity to be exposed to the world, develops their interpersonal skills, makes them independent, and offers them plenty of opportunities for career and personal growth.
Bursaries help many students to learn. The bursary helps graduate students to enter higher education without having to rely on student loans. On the other hand, many scholarships are offered to those who are interested in research such as the Ph.D. program, and who also submit medical research. Relationships, therefore, help us to obtain higher education and educational development.
