The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship in USA Program provides ten months of non-degree academic study and related professional experience in the United States.

Humphrey Fellowship in USA provides important opportunities for professional development through selected university courses, attending conferences, networking, and practical work experience. In contrast to the typical graduate school experience, the Program encourages Citizens to travel with their hosted campus to learn more about American culture and connect with their American peers. Details of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in USA Program

  • Host  Institute: Students are placed in one of the participating universities in the united states of America. They cannot choose which university they will attend. Instead, they are assigned by 7-15 different teams to the most appropriate hosting center based on their favorite area and professional field.
  • Degree Level: 10 months of non-degree academic study
  • Field of Study: A list of fields is provided below
  • Duration: Up to 10 months
  • Target Group: Hubert Humphrey’s program of integration is open to citizens of the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa, East Asia and the Pacific, South and Central Asia, the Western Hemisphere, and other countries.

Humphrey Fellowship Program

The Humphrey Fellowship Program has received funding as a Fulbright exchange program at the US Congress since 1978 in recognition of the community service of the late Senator and Deputy President, Hubert H. Humphrey (1911-1978). A longtime advocate for international cooperation and understanding, Humphrey served as Vice President of the United States from 1965 to 1969 and for many years as a U.S. Senator. of Minnesota. Since 1978, more than 6,400 Fellows from 163 countries have participated in the program. More than 40 universities hosted the Fellows during their academic year.

What do Humphrey Scholarships For International Students stipend cover?

• Tuition fees and university fees allocated for participation

• Maintenance (living) grant, which includes a living and accommodation allowance

Eligibility Criteria for Humphrey Fellowship in USA

• UnderGraduate degrees (first university or Bachelor’s).
• Minimum five-year full-time, technical experience
• Limited or unprecedented experience in the United States
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• A record of community service
• English language proficiency

Required Documents for Hubert Humphrey Fellowship

1. Scanned copies of certificates of all post-secondary degrees obtained (in English or translated from a certified translation office).
2. Scanned copies of documents of all degrees obtained (in English or translated from a certified translation office).
3. Proof of English language practice at any of the accredited testing centers below. Applicants must submit a valid score report for only one of the following tests: TOEFL (ITP) – 450 points TOEFL (BT) – 45 points IELTS – 5.0 points Duolingo English Test – 60 points Professional Examination English from Egyptian Universities – at least 450 points Check the list of accredited testing centers on the program page here.

4. Two letters of recommendation; the person must leave the current employer.
5. Scanned copy of the original valid identity document.
6. Personal photo
7. Scanned copies of any U.S. visas J1 or J2 (if any).

The applicants have to submit their applications to U.S. Embassies & Fulbright Commissions in their countries. The deadlines vary by country.
