BT406 Research Methodology & Skill Enhancement

What is research?

Research is a systematic process of inquiry that involves the collection of information; documentation for important information; and the analysis and interpretation of that data/information, in accordance with the appropriate procedures set by the specific professional fields and fields of study.

Research is “a creative and systematic work done to increase information stock”. It involves collecting, organizing, and analyzing information to increase understanding of a topic or issue. The research project may be an extension of the previous work in the field.

Research is conducted to…

  • Check the authenticity of a myth or interpretation framework.
  • Integrate the body of important information and findings to share in some appropriate ways.
  • Helping generate questions with additional questions.

What is the purpose of the research?

There are three key objectives:

  • Exploratory: As the name suggests, researchers conduct experimental studies to test a set of questions. Answers and statistics may not provide a conclusion to the supposed problem. It is done to manage new problem areas that have never been tested before. This evaluation process forms the basis for the most important data collection and analysis.      BT406 FINAL TERM PAST PAPERS MEGA FILES
  • Descriptive: Focuses on increasing information on current issues through the data collection process. Descriptive research describes the behavior of sample people. Only one variable is required for research. The three main objectives of descriptive studies are to describe, describe, and validate the findings.
  • Explanatory: A causal or descriptive study was performed to understand the effect of certain changes in existing norms. Getting tested is the most popular method.                                    BT406 FINAL TERM PAST PAPERS MEGA FILES

Characteristics of Research:

  1. Empirical – research is based on direct experience or the researcher’s perceptions.
  2. Logical – research is based on practical principles and principles.
  3. Cyclical – research starts with a problem and ends with a problem.
  4. Analytical – research uses proven analytical processes to collect data, whether historical, descriptive, experimental, or case study.
  5. Critical – research shows careful and accurate judgment.
  6. Methodical – research is conducted in an orderly manner without bias using a systematic approach and procedures.
  7. Replicability – design and research processes are repeated so that the researcher can achieve real and complete results.

Science:

Science is a systematic and intelligent way to study how the universe works. It is also the body of information collected through the discovery of all celestial objects.

Scientific Method:

Science aims to obtain measurable results through experimentation and analysis, a process known as the scientific method. Science is based on fact, not on ideas or popular opinion. The scientific process is designed to challenge ideas for research. One important aspect of the scientific process is that it focuses exclusively on the natural world.                      BT406 FINAL TERM PAST PAPERS MEGA FILES

In conducting research, scientists use a scientific method to gather measurable, evidence-based evidence in a hypothesis-related test (usually in the form of a statement if / then) designed to support or contradict the scientific theory.           BT406 FINAL TERM PAST PAPERS MEGA FILES
